My Recent Scribbles

About

Welcome to my little bliggity-blog.

My name is Megan.

I love to teach and I love to learn. I love the idea of creating an environment for my lil tot's where they can grow and explore without fear or shame. I love organization and I love to plan.  I love to clean (say wha?). I love to do things on the cheap. I'm starting to not loathe love running.  Did I mention I have about as many hobbies as Baskin Robin's has flavors?

While my hobbies change frequently, my role and mission in life does not. I am always a woman, a mother and a wife. And I always want to be better in each of these categories. And yes, I do believe it is always possible for me to become a better woman ;P.  If this blog were to have a mission statement... I suppose it would be something like this:

To help myself, and maybe others as well,  stop living life on auto-pilot.

To be grateful for where I am and do my best to make things work with what I have been given.

To open my eyes, be emotionally and physically involved in the lives of those I love.

To create as many wonderful and unique memories for my loved ones as I possibly can.

To take advantage of every kiss, every snuggle, every conversation, every moment.

To make sure the people I love know that they are more important to me than any hobby,
        responsibility, or leisure activity.

To never let a day pass without doing something good for someone. Anyone!

To stop looking at my life through the lense of "What have others done for me?"

And to start living my life through the lense, "What can I do for someone else?"

To always speak kindly. In all circumstances. (Even when my little boy manages to rip his diaper
off and poop all over his room... sprinkler style.) ;P

So! Feel free to join me on this crazy experiment and journey of life. I hope you'll find some of my experiences helpful. I don't know exactly where this journey will take me, myself, but I sure do look forward to finding out. =] Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Hi, Megan. Stumbled across your blog as I hunted for tips to create a Lego table which is something i have been meaning to get around to for my sons. Love what you are doing here and found your "mission" very refreshing to read.. in a wold obsessed with speed, materialism and selfishness. Well done and wish you every success in everything that you do.
